Staffordshire ironston blue transfer small tureen and gravy boat, c. 1830
Two nice blue transfer Staffordshire ironstone pieces, both dating to the 1830s. The first is a small sauce tureen with cover; it has a seaweed pattern design around the edges, with cottage scenes on the side. The top has an entwined handle. The second piece is a nice gravy boat, also with seaweed trim on the base and on the inside of the boat. It also has a nice early barn design on the sides.
The tureen measures 6 inches across and 7 inches to the top of the rim.
Both pieces are in excellent condition, with no chips or crazing.
Prices are $60 for the tureen; $42 for the gravy boat.
