Old leather shoe on cast iron shoe form !

This is one of the most interesting objets d’art I have seen in a while. The early leather men’s shoe is as found on the cast iron shoe form that fits it. It’s hard to know whether the damage at the heel and side of the shoe were there when it was presented to the cobbler or have happened over the years. Either way … the two have become one and make such a great accent piece. Measurements are approximately 11′ heel to toe and 3 inches wide.
