Eastlake style Wilcox silverplate cruet set w/ etched bottles and unusual salt & pepper holders
This is a very unusual Victorian Eastlake style silverplated cruet set by Wilcox Silver Co., made in the mid-late 1880s. This set is unusual for a few reasons; first, the set includes silverplated salt and pepper dishes, which we have not seen previously. Also, the square shape of the handle is unusual.
The set includes the two silverplated salt & pepper dishes, as well as two glass cruets with stoppers (one stopper has chip on the base), a glass and silverplate shaker top bottle and a glass and silverplate topped mustard pot. The base has a nice Eastlake style floral band design.
The plating is in very good condition; some minor wear on the holder and there is also wear in the salt & pepper bowls from use.
